Ocelot

Ocelots are commonly found in South and Central America and Mexico, but has been reported as far as in the Caribbean. The ocelot/Dwarf Leopard, is about the size of an average house cat. Weighing 8 to 10 kilograms, the ocelot is known for it’s fur coat that is similar to that of a leopard or jaguar. It was once hunted and skinned for it’s fur, at one point in time it was considered an endangered species. But since 2006, it has become an animal of least concern due to it’s no longer dying race.

Why do you think that the ocelot’s race stopped from becoming endangered?
